PERBAS

The PERBAS research project has just started with a kick-off meeting held at GEOMAR in Kiel!
TEEC is happy to be part of this international research colaboration. PERBAS aims to address the challenges to store CO2 in submarine basalt formations, which have the potential to permanently store CO2 in form of mineralized rocks.

New Cooperation with Rossingh Geophysics

Rossingh Geophysics and TEEC Geophysics proudly announce their collaboration in seismic data acquisition and processing. Dutch based Rossingh Geophysics is providing 2D/3D seismic data acquisition while TEEC Geophysics with offices in Hannover/Germany and Houston/Texas is providing seismic data processing, seismic imaging and reservoir characterisation services.

„I believe this collaboration will add significant value to our client’s projects. Together, we can now deliver seamless seismic acquisition and processing projects.“, says Jan Rossingh, Director of Rossingh Geophysics. Dr. Henning Trappe, Managing Director of TEEC GmbH, stresses „I am thrilled that these two experienced expert teams will now join forces. Our clients will definetely benefit from this cooperation.“

Both companies are well recognized in their respective field of services. Rossingh Geophysics was founded in 2016 by Rossingh Drilling B.V. It has successfully completed several 2D/3D seismic acquisition projects in the past 5 years. One of the highlights was the 1800 km 2D seismic acquisition of EBN’s SCAN geothermal project in The Netherlands which was completed with excellent QHSE records. TEEC was founded in 1992 and has been delivering seismic data processing, imaging and reservoir characterisation services as well as dedicated geophysical research and development for world-wide clients of the oil&gas, mining, geothermal, nuclear waste disposal and near surface industry since then. TEEC is focused on land data processing and imaging with leading edge technolgy like its proprietary CRS processing, RTM and FWI from topography as well as diffraction imaging.

For further information or any project related matters please contact Jan Rossingh (https://lnkd.in/e37RCdG6) or Dr. Henning Trappe (www.teec.de/contact).

New authorized officers

At TEECsolutions, we are permanently working on the best possible service for our customers. Therefore we have been increasing our management team and added two new authorized officers, Mrs. Kim Zehn and Mr. Ruediger Zehn.

Ruediger Zehn has been appointed an authorized officer of our R&D branch. After his masters degree in Geophysics at the University of Kiel in 2013, Ruediger had been working as a processing geophysicist with CGG in Crawley, UK. In 2016 he joined TEECsolutions and since then has been leading several research projects (including High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence). He is keen to develop new technologies and solutions.

Kim Zehn will strengthen our management team of the seismic services branch. Since her masters degree in Geophysics at the University of Kiel in 2013, Kim has been working in the industry including GGD mbH in Leipzig, Germany and CGG in Crawley, UK and joined TEECsolutions in 2016. During this time, she gained extensive experience in seismic data processing, imaging and new technologies. Kim together with Guido Gierse are now jointly leading the processing department of TEECsolutions. They are eager to introduce new technologies and solutions and deliver the best possible processing and imaging solution to our customers.

Welcome our new colleague

Effective September 1st, 2022 Rebekka Mecking joined TEEC as a processing geophysicist. We are glad to have her in our team!

Rebekka received a PhD in geophysics from Kiel university. During her PhD studies, she dealt with near surface geophysics with an emphasis on reflection seismic and full waveform inversion. She then spent two years as research fellow at LIAG research institute before joining TEEC.

Her experience in FWI will increase our capacity in providing services in this respect. Land FWI turned out to be a hot topic at each conference and exhibition TEEC attended this year as our land FWI results drew a lot of attention to our booth.

Our new apprentices

Effective August 1, 2022, two new apprentices started their career at TEECsolutions. Franziska Dippe is working in IT system administration, stating „I decided for an apprenticeship in system administration because I expect to learn more about IT and its impact on geoscience“. Lukas Reinelt, who started a position as a software development apprentice at TEEC, also stated „I was always interested in programming during my school education and want to make this my profession”. Management and the entire team wish you a good and successful start into your career.

AAPG 2022

The TEECsolutions team attended the 2022 AAPG International Conference and Exhibition held in April in Cartagena, Colombia. The conference proved to be a great success as we received very positive feedback and interest in our new technologies. Our senior geophysicist Thomas Fieseler presented the successful application of FWI and RTM to a Colombian onshore dataset, a project that was completed with Hocol S.A. The title of the presentation was „FWI and RTM to Improve Seismic Imaging in Colombia’s Sinu San Jacinto Basin“. The team enjoyed meeting current and potential clients at the conference and visiting the beautiful city of Cartagena as a whole. TEECsolutions is looking forward to the upcoming conferences where we can continue showcasing our capabilities.
