Latest paper

TEEC has co-authored a paper on „Joint interpretation of geophysical field experiments in the Danube deep-sea fan, Black Sea“ which has now been accepted for publication in the journal „Marine and Petroleum Geology (Elsevier)“.

The paper summarizes research on geophysical exploration and data processing techniques for gas hydrate reservoirs in 2014-2017.

The research was partly funded by the German Federal Ministries for Economic Affairs and Energy.

Full Waveform Inversion (FWI)

Full Waveform Inversion is now available for marine and land data sets.

Visit the new subitem „Model Building“ of our „Products & Servcies“ area for more information.

Update
Our FWI flyer is now available in the Download area.

New Study: AID – Artificial Intelligence Denoising

A new research study started as a joined project of TEEC and the University of Hamburg.

First International Scientific and Practical Conference, Russia

Geology and Geophysics 2019: Science, Production, Innovations

TEEC participated in the conference which was hosted by Bashneftegeofizika, one of Russias largest compapanies for geophysical services and equipment development. The conference in the city of Ufa in southern Russia offered a packed two-day program on geological, geopyhsical and engineering issues in exploration and production in five parallel technical sessions. From October 8th to 9th, 2019, delegates from almost hundred companies and institutions, from both, Russia and abroad, joined for an intense exchange of ideas.

TEEC contributed two key presentations on „CRS time processing workflows for prestack data customization, imaging, and reservoir characterization“, and „High-resolution depth imaging and model building using CRS, FWI and RTM technologies“, that stirred lively discussions with the audience.

First HGS and EAGE Conference on Latin America

Our colleague Mr. Thomas Fieseler took part at the first HGS and EAGE conference on Latin America and won the „Esteemed Speakers Award“ for his presentation of:

Second EAGE/PESGB Workshop on Velocities

We will take part in the „Second EAGE/PESGB Workshop on Velocities“ in London on 4-5 April 2019 and we are going to present an abstract.

Our colleague Dr. Eisenberg-Klein will present the abstract „JMI-FWI: Cascading workflow using Joint Migration Inversion (JMI) and Full Waveform Inversion (FWI)“ during the workshop.

New Flyer

We present our newest flyer about „High-Res Azimuthal Analysis“.

New Study: Gitaro.JIM

A new research study started and the TEEC group is the consortium leader in the EU co-funded project.

  • Gitaro.JIM – Geophysical Interpretation with Target-Oriented Joint Inversion Modules

New Cooperation in Nigeria

TEEC is proud to announce a cooperation with our new partner:

Mease Energy Nig. Ltd. in Port Harcourt – Nigeria.

After the first contact we had many meetings to form this cooperation. TEEC also prepared the hardware for the first software tests at Mease Energy and assisted during the first project. We are looking forward to the next projects.

New Studies: WAVE & DIFFTOMO

The TEEC group is patricipating in the HPC related project WAVE and coordinating the research in the DIFFTOMO project.

  • WAVE Project – the development of the „WAVE – HPC-Toolbox“
  • DIFFTOMO – Diffraction Tomography – investigate the use of scattered seismic energy
